Full House (Drama - 2004)

After being swindled by her two friends, Han Ji-eun (Hye-kyo Song) realizes that she has nowhere to go and nothing left to her name except a luggage, and her passion for writing. Worse, her house, which she inherited from her father, was sold to obnoxious and self-minding actor Lee Yeong-jae (Rain), to whom she owes a debt following a series of complicated events during their first meeting.
And so the actor grudgingly takes her on as household help. This is the beginning of the two’s love/hate/is it love/is it work relationship. But then, when the famous actor gets tired of all the misleading rumours about him and aggravated by his one-sided love affair with close friend Kang Hye-won (Eun-jeong Han), he takes it further by proposing a contract marriage with Ji-eun.
What follows can be quite predictable but, then, that’s part of what Kdramas, or any drama’s charm is. Your dreams for the characters can either be realized or bashed.

True enough, Ji-eun starts to develop feelings for the actor who, she realizes, have many good qualities as well. Add to the mix Yu Min-hyeok (Seong-su Kim), Yeong-jae’s friend, who is in love with Han Ji-eun.
Throughout the series, there are slow moments, but also some really funny scenes. I was buoyed mostly by my desire for a happy ending (which was granted, with all parties involved finding a sense of happiness around them) , and by Rain’s comic ability (whenever he lets it out).

A KBS production. Directed by Pyo Min-soo (Full House, Solitude) Screenplay by Min Hyo-jeong (Attic Cat). Stars Rain, Eun-jeong Han
